Time for another Winter 2021 Anime to wrap up. A simple romcom slice of life between Hori-san, Miyamura-kun, their romance, and their relationships with friends. This was a very wholesome and sweet. The romantic scenes between Hori and Miyamura felt subtle yet surprisingly special and breathtaking. There were also other relationships between other characters that made for pretty good drama. I also enjoyed the comedy. This show was packed with laughter in almost every episodes. Through the comedy I was able to learn more about the dynamics between the characters. The theme of the show was about the concept of dramaturgy, where people have front and backstage personalities. When characters made certain decisions or said certain things, they casted a shadow that showed the duality in their response.

Another theme was facing the demon of your past, and moving on from it. This applied strongly to Miyamura as we learned more about his past and how he changed.

My problems with the show was just how short it was. There was only 13 episodes and I wanted more drama or just comedy that can build the relationship more. The show only gave just enough drama so that we understood some basics of the characters.

Overall, the funny, sweet, romantic, and emotional anime that I enjoyed a lot but wanted more. 8.5/10
