Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead

This is an anime for everyone. Great animation. Decently funny. Likable characters. Decent voice acting. A neat world. And good pacing. This is some of the best animation I've seen from a studio. Some of these scenes are not something that most other studios have shown themselves able to do. BUG FILMS, please make more anime. Not only is there a lot of flash, but also a really good amount of detail. The CG is a little unfortunate, but understandable give the number of "characters" on screen at any given time. It's not over used though, and there are at the very least more thanjust two models for the zombies. Obviously you'll start to recognize the models by the end of the show, but it's pretty decent compared to what other studios typically do. The characters have some depth at times, but most of the time they're just goofy. I actually think the cast is really likable and the way they bound off one another makes some of the scenes really funny. It think the story is pretty decent, there is good world building, but the concept and depth is pretty simple. The reason I say it's actually really good is because the exectution of that simple concept is near perfection. The pacing is quite good as well. Not slow, but not too fast either. Voice acting is actually decent for once(Dubs are not very good usually). the characters are not overly grating, and there are actually some decent performances. The soundtract is good, particularly a few of the tracks. The op/ed both slap. Overall, it's a very polished anime with something for every type of anime viewer out there. I would like to see more depth to the story and characters, but this is a comedy first and foremost. I think it does a good job being a flashy comedy. It's a lot of fun to watch and I hope to see more in the future. 8.30/10 Dubbed
