You just have to get to the end. The season does feel a bit lackluster in terms of the animation, but that's due to the animation team putting in all the effort and time into the last few episodes. The last two episodes especially, really save the season with the animation and the story that they weave into the rivalry between the teams. Regardless, it's still a fútbol anime, and the hype moments still are exhilarating and fun, despite the lack of high quality animation in the first couple of episodes. Would still recommend but just have to be ready to watch some stop motion.
