Review of Darwin's Game
Having just finished Darwin's Game, my overall thoughts about the series is that it sort of redeems itself on the last episodes. First of all, the visuals are good enough to start watching it, and while there's not anything special about soundtrack, the opening (CHAIN by ASCA) and ending (ALIVE by Mashiro Ayano) are worthy of being added to your playlist. As for the characters, Kaname Sudou has to be the biggest Gary Stu of this season and it's quite the challenge to go episode after episode if that's not your cup of tea, but I have to say, I liked the change he went through thefinal episodes.
As for the story, it's one of those battle royale/survival animes, some people compare it to SAO or Mirai Nikki, but it is just not as impactful as those were, and if anything, not better than those.
It's a bit hard for me to recommend it but (for better or worse) I ended up finishing it just to watch what asspull he would pull out to save the day.
