Shippuu Tengoku: Kaze no Klonoa · review
Story - 9.5 Each chapter is a self-contained story. Klonoa and his friends get into all sorts of funny shenanigans ranging from volleyball competitions or bounty hunting. The manga very loosely follows the games so it can be enjoyed by those unfamiliar with Klonoa. Characters - 9.8 If you loved the characters in Klonoa this manga will only strengthen your love for them. The characters don’t undergo any significant development but they are still enjoyable to watch nevertheless. The characterizations are very exaggerated compared to the games but this doesn’t bother me. Art - 10 The art is surprisingly faithful to the games and the expressions are on-spot. It’s nothingextravagant but gets the job done.
Final Thoughts
Overall this is a must read for Klonoa fans or even fans of video games in general. It’s genuinely one of the best Klonoa manga/comics. My only issue is that the King of Sorrow didn’t appear and there weren’t any more volumes released. Either way I'm pleased with what we got.
