Just watch the anime. The manga *makes more logical sense than the anime* in specific parts, but it's so smooshed together that you'll find the anime much more compelling/satisfying. The art style is OK, but I liked the "funky" feel and flavor that the anime had way more. The anime had better character development and more heartfelt swansongs when characters left the stage. This just feels rushed in a way that I wasn't expecting, since I felt like a paper-telling of the story would take the opportunity to flesh out some of the topics not covered in the anime, to give them more background, butnone of that happened.
