Review of Recovery of an MMO Junkie

TLDR; Disappointing storyline and a letdown for something which could have been much more. An anime about ~30 year olds is normally aimed at adults, and so I was expecting more of a storyline based in realism compared to your typical high-school anime. What I got was something which was almost the most contrived anime which I have ever watched. Yes, it was still about love, and yes, the characterisation was very nicely done in the main, which possibly made it even worse as characters which feel very realistic and are doing realistic things, put into unrealistic situations felt very 4th wall breaking for me.
