Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

Do you remember your first day of high school and it seemed like everyone knew each other and everyone didn't know you, and also they hated you and they called you mean names like bitch titties and Quiznos boy? So you started lifting weights and got a job at a Popeyes and become instantly more attractive because you had money and abs...and when you finally got asked out by the local short stack, she sucked on the tip of your Ochinchin under a bridge outside of town. And at that very moment, something clicked in you...and you realized that 3DPD was not the true wayto salvation so you started turning down thots and focusing on prostate pollywog retention, coding, mountain dew, and wizardom.

This animes a lot like that experience, our young protagonist is thrust into a new world as the lowest of the low, a tank class hero. So naturally, everyone in the room instantly despises him, no one wants to party with him and he's thrust into a world that he does not understand broke, overweight and reeking of cocoa butter (with only some aspects of this being an exaggeration on my part). Without spoiling too much of the story you'll be following this animes version of bitch titties on his quest to get swole, grind XP and snatch up all the local thots and inevitably use them to dab on the clueless elites that cast him out, to begin with.

There's some stuff in here about interdimensional travel and a subplot about banging an underage princess (not an exaggeration in the manga), but much like this show's animation, sound and my overall level of enjoyment, it's all subpar at best. Perhaps one of the most overrated shows of this season in this humble chunk bois opinion.

If you're looking for a mediocre revenge porn, harem anime, that insist that everyone but the protagonist has an extra chromosome, then this is for you, but I'd also question why you just don't watch something better.

It's C- of an anime, with only some parts being mildly interesting a perfect 7/10.
