Review of Pop Team Epic

Pop Team Epic is commonly referred to as "Garfield as anime" or "Family Guy as Anime", but I think it is something that both pays tribute to its comic-strip origins and builds upon it. The VAs (both male and female) bring something new to the table with every sketch, and the producers seem willing to try anything and everything to make the experience fun for all. My favorite episodes (no spoilers) are all novel in their presentation, like Hellshake Yano, The second iteration of "forest cabin", and the Mafia skit towards the end. It is not for everyone, comedy is, of course, subjective, but assomeone who grew up reading sunday comics in my local paper, I feel a definite love for the feeling Pop Team Epic portrays. Great job all around, highly recommend.
