Saiki K is probably one of the most dense, fast paced comedy anime I've ever seen. Though most streaming sights now conjoin the episodes down to 24 with 5 parts each, the original episode run times were very short so the jokes were always super punchy and went by very quick. The show wastes little time and just about every second of screen time is setup or punchline to the next gag. This at times frantic pacing can actually serve to enhance the comedy as things that would be given a lot more serious weight in another setting are handled so matter-of-factly. Something in particular thisshow does that I found funny was try to explain away all of the anime logic like unusual hair colors and things that defy the laws of nature as all side effects of Saiki's powers. It's amazing how consistent they are with what he can do and how it affects the world around him, it would have been so easy to just take the lazy way out and have his powers be able to do whatever the plot needed them to in any given situation.

Saiki's personality is delightful, and kind of the other end of the spectrum from someone like Mob. He's more like Saitama in that his superhuman psychic powers and ability to overcome just about anything have led him to have a very bored outlook on life, and the slight condescension with which he delivers every line of dialogue is priceless. Yare yare is a better catchphrase than dattebayo.

There's a lot to like here, so overall I give it a solid 8/10
