The very first episode reminds me of Ao no exorcist/blue exorcist. Almost the very same plot surrounding the foster dad that took in something similar as a demon (the protagonist). Shiki Ichinose from Tougen anki also reminds me of Rin Okumura, the protagonist of Ao no exorcist. So for me, the story felt not very innovative or creative. However, the art is beautiful and it seems that perhaps in the academy arc it might get more interesting. This anime is a good watch when you don’t really have a lot of other things to watch. It’s not great but not bad either. I would givethis a solid 6,5.
