Yuzu no Koto · review
This is a very cute little story about friendship and a trans guy coming out in high school. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's simple and surprisingly realistic so as not to feel too saccharine. The story leaning more towards slice of life than high-stakes drama helps establish that grounded atmosphere-- there are small misunderstandings and awkward moments that arise from the cis (non-trans) cast's lack of understanding, but nothing that veers into overt vitriol. Yuzu himself is a cute and relatable character too. This manga is very short, so I'd recommend giving it a read even if you're not 100% sure you'll like it! The art ison the simple side, so your mileage may vary with how much you enjoy that aspect of it.
