Dirty Pair is an episodic buddy cop, sci-fi, comedy action show. The closest thing I can compare it to would be like Rush Hour but imagine Rush Hour (which already has a lot of destruction in the film) if in the end Jackie and Tucker escape with the diplomats daughter, only for the casino to explode, because Chris Tucker had set off a self destruct sequence in his stubbornness to catch the bad guy, resulting in 25 dead, 70 wounded, and $800 million dollars worth of property damage. That's Dirty Pair. They'll get the job done, but at what cost? Dirty Pair isn't "high art"; it'snot deep or complex -- layered with themes and philosophical queries.
Its fun.
And the perfect kind of fun as far as I'm concerned; cute girls with guns, in a cyberpunk sci-fi backdrop with endless action.
