9 /10

Story 8/10 + Explicit yaoi, uncensored, alpha omega universe, historical, romance, drama, revolutionary, not the cliché flow of fated pairing story arc, unexpected neko/tatchi. - Even though situated in the alpha-verse it's an unusual take on the story, it's awfully romantical to the point perhaps of being sappy. Sometimes it also feels a tad rushed as too much information (time leaps/actions/motivations) is being put into the manga, I'd liked it to be a bit more worked out though one volume doesn't have nearly enough space for that. The extra story of current-time army was another nice turn of events though! Art 10/10 + Beautiful artwork, loving thecurls and real attention went to the intricate costumes.
- Perhaps too much curl? Haha I don't remember anyone with straight hair to be honest.

Character 9/10
+ Beautiful conviction of the characters and as a reader you can clearly follow the reasoning of each and every one of them. The explicitness of the biological differences in the alpha-verse, were also quite refreshing.
- Perhaps due to it only having one volume, a bit shallow in deeper character development. The few snippets of earlier childhood could've been an entire volume before the actual one we have now.

Enjoyment 9/10
+ It was a beautiful and stunning take on a very much established genre, and well executed to boot, what's not to like?
- Though explicit, it didn't really make me all hot and bothered like other yaoi. Perhaps the building up of tension lacks a bit.

Overall of 9, definitely give this a try for a little different pace and enjoy the beautiful art while you're at it. Just don't expect too much as it's only a one-volume story.
