It's like they say, you can write a great story, you can write a good story, you can even write a bad story as long as it's entertaining enough, but one of the worst sins an author can commit is writing a boring story. Unfortunately, though not really surprising, this manga is boring. The story here is your typical overpowered self-insert MC schlock that's all about him effortlessly defeating enemies and being worshipped by beautiful women while maintaining that stoic facade we've all become familiar with. Full disclosure: I'm aware I'm not the target audience for these stories anymore, but I also take a little pridein my ability to look past my biases and judge a work on its own merits. Not only that but I also try to look at these stories and judge them based on how I think I personally would have liked them back when I was an impressionable young 10-15 year old myself, and despite taking all that into account I'm still giving this series a 4, it's bad. In fact the only reason I'm not giving it a 3 is because it doesn't also have the word "isekai" in the title, so props for that I guess.

Even back in 2019 when this manga came out we were far enough along the overpowered MC media timeline that authors know what's interesting and fresh, and what's stale and generic. There is nothing interesting about this story. The MC, the setup, the characters, the plot beats, it's all mixed together to give you as stale and "safe" of an experience as possible, and the author knows that. That's why being harsh on these stories feels both hollow and cathartic. The authors understand what they've written and we understand what we're getting ourselves into (ideally in hopes of finding something unique and/or refreshing).

Who should read this manga?
If you're a pre-teen or young teenager who loves power fantasies then I'm sure you'll enjoy this story, it was literally written with you in mind after all. And to be fair, if you're an adult reader who is just REALLY in love with fantasy stories about OP MCs and have exhausted most of the other options out there then I guess you should check this one out, be warned though you are scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

If you're over the age of 15 and/or the above doesn't apply to you then I'd suggest finding something else to do with your free time.
