This story was interesting. I wasn't anything too big or grand or special. But it was still a good read. The story was okay, the characters we fine, and the art style was nice. I deeply sympathized with Sayeh, seeing how hard and rough her upbringing was - a nomad's daughter for was sold by her own family to become part of the Sultan's harem, and was treated as if she didn't even matter. It was quite powerful to see that those of both upper and lower class...can have major problems of their own. Such as deception, betrayal, or loss. At the beginning, I didfeel that Kainer was a cold-blooded tyrant who would only show Sayeh mercy - although him murdering the maid for making a simple mistake, as well as threatening to kill innocent people if Sayeh left him...that was too much. However, I do understand that Kainer became cold and hardened from being betrayed by his only blood-related sister and having his father turn his back on him. Making sure he and Sayeh (nor their future children) wouldn't face the same problems, Kainer went as far as to slay every single one of his brothers and sisters. Enin was really the only friend and alley that Sayeh and Kainer had; sweet, thoughtful, strong-willed - she'll definitely raise their future children right.

I just wonder who allowed all those women to enter the palace. I was probably Sejanne, seeing how she wormed her way back to the palace along with all those other strangers, and then betrayed Sayeh; despite seeing how innocent and kind-hearted she was. Lucky she was saved Kainer, who slayed both his father and Sejanne for their acts. I was glad to see that despite their obstacles, Kainer and Sayeh got their happy ending. And if they continue their passionate capades...they'll have many children. I don't know if other people will like it, but I suppose they should at least give it a chance.

But as always...these are just my opinions.
