Old but gold. Along with its sequel "Shin (New) happy people" is undoubtedly an all time classic. Each volume consists of several shorter works and can be viewed independently. Titled "Happy People", yet paradoxically the collection of short stories revolves around darker themes like greed, lust, sloth and deceit. Human evil and social injustice vividly displayed in ink form, in a somewhat frightening fashion. Perhaps happiness is zero-sum after all, one's fortune is destined to come from another's misfortune. Art is top-notch. Some panels are terrifyingly refined to the extent that gives you the chills. Time passes as this gem continues to age like fine wine.
