This is, simply put, a trash series. And it's allegedly referred to as such even back solely as a light novel. FL is placed in an unfortunate life. She's an improbable half-breed of sorts, so she gets along with both humans and those not-humans, eg House Castielo of which her father and older half-brother belong. Now, the biggest concern with all trash series is incest. Thankfully, there is no such thing. It actually hosts some healthy family bonding between the three of them. That alone is what pulls readers in and keep them invested until certain events force them to pause and maybe read upon some spoilers.

Overall, the author likes trash. So not only is FL forced to suffer needlessly - despite her status and her father's and brother's abilities - the ML selected for her half-raised her? Sure, he's only a knight, but he knew her when she was very young and was sort of the only man around between her brother's and her father's age. Kind of. Ages work strangely. In any case, he was her primary guardian and one of her personal knights on rotation so her interactions with others was already limited.

But grooming and lowkey pedophilia aside (the latter is potentially just be poor writing skills), this world doesn't care about what FL wants or ever needs. Sure she's not tortured and killed, but some of that is honestly because the readers of the novel hated certain things so the comic had to adapt. But the kingdom itself is essentially out for her family's blood - to own, to dominate, to collect - so she's not welcomed even were she to leave and try living as a commoner. Even though humans aren't bothered by her.
