It's no masterpiece but it's a lot of fun. It doesn't really do anything new, but the art is exceptionally good, especially during the fight scenes. They're dynamic but also surprisingly easy to understand. The characters are all pretty likable but they don't have a ton of depth. Mostly familiar but enjoyable archetypes. The main character in particular is super compelling. Just a genuinely great guy doing the best he can to fulfill his obligations. The humor is kind of hit or miss. Some really funny moments, but also a few that left me scratching my head. If the synopsis sounds enjoyable and you appreciategreat art, I think you'll probably have a good time with this series. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking.
