Review of Sasaki and Miyano

Even though I liked this anime I felt like it was a bit overhyped. It's definitely rare to find a BL that's not grossly oversexualizing gay men or presenting them in really predatory ways, and even though I feel like we're not quite all the way there yet, it's definitely getting better. For this particular anime I felt like both of the boys were a bit too stereotypical for the genre - a tall guy with piercings falls in love with short/cute/puppy-like guy and now struggles with being around him because everything and anything the guy does is "moe" to him and he can barely containhis feelings. Every now and then he gets the guts to be straightforward but of course, the oblivious puppy-person will misunderstand it as the guy just being friendly and quirky like that, tho this just might be a nitpick of mine since that's just the way the romance genre is...

It was a nice and sweet story, tho I felt like their personalities might have been a bit generic, but if you like a lovestruck x oblivious dynamic then this slowburn is definitely great for you.
