Review of Vinland Saga Season 2
So, as a big Seinen fan, I crave stories like these, so you better take this review with a grain of salt. The series pacing has considerably slowed down compared to last season's breakneck pace. Season 2 appears to be, at least initially, concentrating on its characters. Not nearly as frequently as action scenes. None of this diminishes Vinland's strength, which is its ability to captivate viewers with its gorgeous yet terrifying universe. Our main character, Thorfinn, is a wounded war veteran who no longer finds meaning in life and merely exists for the sake of being. The plot occasionally takes a more ideological turn, primarily concentrating ondeath and its effects. There are brief mentions of subjects like "what it means to live" and "I have no enemies."
Although the soundtrack isn't very distinctive, it may successfully offer impact when called for.
VA's work together breathes life into their characters.
After a while, I found myself emotionally immersed in a story. I really wanted to deduce points by performing additional microanalysis, but I'm unable to. The Vinland Saga is the best story we can hope for in order to keep the Seinen genre alive. I hope it gets an adaptation for season 3.
