Review of Lazarus
this was a very "the journey being more satisfying than the destination" type of experience. Although the ending majorly fizzled out considering the potential the premise and buildup had, the ride getting there was honestly worth it. the animation was nostalgic, the soundtrack slapped, and the voice acting brought a lot of heart to the characters. the cast was diverse in a fun and refreshing way—though some cultural reps (turkey?? hello??) definitely missed the mark a bit. still, the group dynamics were sweet, the pacing kept things interesting, and the storytelling had enough twists to keep you hooked. if you're in the mood for a “solvethe mystery, follow the breadcrumbs, save the world with a gang of misfits” kind of vibe (where everyone is lowkey soft and lovable despite being chaos gremlins), this one’s totally worth your time. :)
