I honestly don't understand why people hate the film so much. It's honestly solid. Yes, it has its faults but I was genuinely invested throughout the film. Though I wish it had featured more romance between the two leads and felt somewhat rushed in the beginning, I'd still recommend this film. It was a decent film that did it's job, even if it the idea itself was unoriginal. I guess people don't like seeing relationships that are genuine or they're just reminded of their own past, hence why they call it trash and a waste of time (probably reminiscent of their own lives). All thataside, I'd definitely watch it again.
