Review of Blue Period

Though this anime is advertised as being bout art, that was not my experience. It heavily explores the themes of trying to find passion in life while struggling with expectations of friends and family, as well as the fear that comes along with that. As someone that was in a position similar to that when I watched this, I do have to say that it made me think a lot about what I wanted to do as well as what I needed to make myself happy. The dynamic shown between trying to balance focusing on school, while being there for a friend who is struggling hada huge impact for me, as well as the scenes showing the fear of trying to approach your parents about choices, I can whole heartedly say that "Blue Period" is one of the most emotionally impactful shows I have seen to date.
