Review of Horimiya

This was the most overhyped anime i ever watched. I had heard about horimiya way before its animation came in. Its manga in under top 10 in most popular list on mal. I was impressed by this show from the first episode. From its sound to visuals, everything looked perfect. And its opening gave me a mysterious feeling, like something big is about to happen in the show. Considering the hype, that looked completely logical and to my surprise what do i find ? NOTHING. It's a romcom and this show doesn't goes an inch in any other genres. It literally has romance and comedy andnothing else. I don't know what they even showed me after 5th episode. It's story is totally predictable. You might ask why i say that ? Because this story never goes anywhere. Hori and Miyamura come into relationship and they enjoy their life ever after. This is the story of this show after episode 4 with a bunch of wierd things that only seem to happen in anime. Although i enjoyed the show, it doesn't deserve the hype it made. My teen romantic comedy and toradora are far better than this.
