Read a few in middle school and high school as they were still releasing mangas and translations. After 10 years, I was finally able to finish the series and on to the next sequel which is in Japanese due to not being as popular. I still enjoy reading this and binge-read it, even reading at work haha! It's so good and addicting as not many scenarios are around with books and military w/romances. Would recommend giving this book a try, animation is all right as long you read the manga. The characters are very well-rounded but its fun to re-read the entire series to seetheir reactions from the first time reading it.
