Yep, it’s another part of “is it actually good or just overrated because the main series is popular?” Totally Captivated: The Last Episode is currently the highest rated doujinshi-type manga on MAL. And by quite large margin too. So, is the content actually that great? Not at all. But it is better than I’ve expected – granted, my expectations were extremely low. Unlike the average doujin spin-off of an BL title, this one actually does have a story. And what’s more, the story actually has higher page count than the fucking. Shocking, I know. And the story is alright. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing I would call great, butit’s passable. One could even call it cute. But here comes the problem – BL doujins sell because they show sex scenes that wouldn’t be allowed in the main manga. So a sex scene is what needs to be included, even if it completely disrupts the flow of the story being told. Even if it’ cringy. Because it is the main reason why the fans would consider buying it. After all, who needs a story if you can read about two pretty boys going at it, right? And if that isn’t enough, the second volume even has a fourteen years old walking on the protagonists in full display of this activity. Have fun I guess.

The art is I guess average shoujo art (which is to say not exactly great), though I have to note – holy pointy erect nipples, there is a point where it gets ridiculous, what was that supposed to be?

I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone outside of fans of the series.
