Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

This is one of those animes you start with no expectations and sometimes, in my case at least, do not understand the reason for starting the anime in the first place. Despite having no expectation and no reason to watch; I gave it a chance and oh my! I didn`t expect the anime to turn out like this! At surface the anime is a cartoon for children and for the most part it carries that same energy but when that twist comes off you realize it is more than a children cartoon. The anime has a deep and profound message about the consequences of nuclearbombs. It has been presented in a lighthearted yet heart-wrenching twist.

The anime is about the denotation of USA Nuclear bomb Test in 1954 on a ocean. The test has been presented from the perspective of fantasied marine animals. The main characters in the anime is a little flying fish called ``Junior`` who is like any other kid of his age. Struggles with math, Loves his family, adventurous, takes joy in small achievements and is kind at heart. He has a loving father and mother.

Once, the father went away for some work (yes fishes work in this anime) and he never came back like other fishes shallowed by the fire of the Nuclear Bomb. The tragedy doesn`t end there and Jr gets ill with radioactive dust. Laying around he dreams of flying and his father.
I highly recommend the anime!
