Okashina Hotel is interesting because it's a surreal one minute short situated solely in a corridor where things happen. A lot of things happen in the course of one minute. Spoiler alert if you don't wanna know. I'm trying to do a blow by blow of this anime. Based on this, I gave it the score that I did. So firstly you have a tired looking salaryman entering a dirty corridor. He enters a room, a naked woman walks out. Then you have lions and elephants, and shooting, and a man, presumably the same one, tries to walk out, and is caught and thrown intothe room. We see another man entering from the elevator. So you essentially have two axis of understanding : giving into your material, dirty desires to escape this terrible society. and escape is impossible (salaryman) Proud beasts are being hunted, and humans are hunting each other. I'm going about this way because this short has no dialogue and is hard to grasp, so trying to figure it out is interesting. For this, I'll give it an 7 out of enjoyment. The art and sound are done fairly well. However the length is too short to have too mucg to say, and such mesaages haven been said time and time again, and the good animation and sound isnt put to much use. This rating would br higher with a longer length and better message. I would recommend it for being interesting and making you think to an extent.
