This mangas general story concept was pretty interesting, in that it had to do with investigations surrounding a number of tall tales and such. These stories I thought were pretty well done too, with lots of creepy scenes and overall being pretty gripping from beginning to end. Hence, I think that most of the manga was pretty interesting. I did have problems with the main cast of characters though, in that while there was some good background development for Hanako, the other two felt pretty underdeveloped when focused upon, and their relationship especially seemed to just suddenly be there. Hence, the story portions that focused on them overcases that they weren't as related to felt somewhat off, which increasingly became the case as it went on. This is especially true for the final arc, which felt like it got really convoluted. Still the ending was satisfying enough. The art was okay.

tl;dr: An interesting premise that was at its best when not focusing on the overarching plot.
