The story might be a bit cliché, but what really stands out—and many readers agree with me, judging by the comments I’ve been reading in each chapter—is the protagonist’s determination and intelligence. Few things are more satisfying than having a protagonist who isn’t just handed a broken power for no reason, but earns it because he’s willing to do something no one else does or try methods that terrify others; that, along with his direct and level-headed personality, really carries the story. It’s very entertaining to read, but I’m giving it a 7 because the protagonist is the only real standout. You grow attached to someof the stories and the secondary characters, but the story itself has some inconsistencies. Still, you read it mostly for the action since it’s battle after battle after battle—pausing for a moment to think up new powers and then back to battle after battle lol. It’s definitely worth a read; it’s no masterpiece, but it’s very entertaining and satisfying to read.
