Jigoku Sensei Nube is a total hidden gem, IMHO. I’m not usually an appreciator of the horror genre in anime, but this series won me over with its unique blend of humor, drama, and surprisingly tragic scenes. The Story & Characters The second part of the series was incredibly emotional. I really loved seeing the children grow up, especially through Kyoko’s story—even if the ending for her and Nube felt a bit bittersweet. Almost every episode had a real impact while still being fun. Of course, the Yuki-Onna scenes were my absolute favorite; her chemistry with Nube is top-tier! Visuals & Tone The art and design perfectly mix thatclassic 90s feel with a style that still holds up today. In the beginning, I thought nothing too serious would happen since the cast involves little children, but the show definitely proved me wrong. It manages to be dark and supernatural while keeping a heart of gold.
The Verdict
It was great to see how all the subplots eventually connected back to the Demon Hand origin. For anyone who enjoys a good supernatural plot, this is a solid choice. It’s a classic that more people should watch.
