8.1/10 Huh, I guess I'll be the odd one out who enjoyed this manhwa. Granted, I thought this was some form of generic trash, like most of the reviews that have only read up to chapters 10-15, but thank God I didn't drop it and let the author cook, because... oh boy, did he cook. The story starts slow with how it sets up the main character -- "I'm going to leave it to the main character!" Yeah right... But, because of that, it leaves plenty of room for development for the MC, and ALL of the development was hype asf. Honestly, I'm pretty sure most ofthe complaints come from the MC being underpowered initially, which is totally a fine complaint... if you're a teenager who only enjoys overpowered low-effort slop. Can we not start with a main character that has a weakness and actually has to train for once to become overpowered? I mean, this story is a perfect example of how to do overpowered protagonists right. The MC has secrets/limits to his power, but when he's locked in, he's locked in -- none of his problems are also too easy, and he gets pushed each time.

As for people saying the plot doesn't have anything interesting... Sigh. It's like they didn't even read or pay attention to the story. There's plenty of interesting and unique plot points set up, and all of it was interesting to ME, who has read over 1000 pieces of trash, which must be some kind of accomplishment. The way the manga hints at the original world's protagonist was also incredibly well done.

As for the other side characters, I do see some of the complaints with them having similar personalities, but they all become developed later on in the story.

...Also, I don't remember a single time the "OMG HE'S USING A SASHIMI KNIFE" joke being used past chapter 15... They used it like 5 times to set the ridiculousness of it, and they never mentioned it again because... plot development. God. The comedy is also nicely blended into the story, and there are tons of references to other works.

Moral of the story, this appears trash, but the author was just trying to let it marinate before he cooks up his 5-star dish. Pay attention to the beginning, and you'll find yourself quite a nice story.
