Leveling up in a Fantasy World · review
A low budget donghua in an annoying format of 9 minutes per episode but only 4 minutes of actual new content. It's an isekai about a nerdy guy who gets transported into a fantasy world into a body of a cultivator. He has an innate talent for growth and also gets a system power that talks to him and gives him quests and rewards. Using that he wins against great odds, gets more power and fame/infamy. It's very lighthearted and sometimes tries way too hard to be funny, not always landing. The plot is very simple and doesn't expand beyond the scope of the show butall in all it's actually somewhat interesting.
Animation is very cheap, a lot of characters use different art styles so they don't exactly fit next to each other.
Fight scenes are short, but fine.
Music and voice acting are passable but to give some credit the opening theme music is way too good for this.
There isn't much to say about this show and it won't leave a lasting impact on anyone, but it is enjoyable to watch.
