I wonder if they ever fixed that locket... Nisekoi! An anime about childhood memories, high school crushes, and crazy family's. The story revolves around Ichijou and one "mystery" girl who gave him a locket ten years prior. At the same time we have two gangs: the yakuza's, and the American Bee Hive Gang. Each who are about to go to war with each other. But suddenly they all find out that their heir's are both in love with each other, and postpone the war due to their "love." The lovers are Ichijou and a girl from the ABHG, named Kirisaki; who both, by the way, hateeach other.

The story is quite good, but ends on a sour note that slaps you in the face saying, "yeah, cliffhangers are still a thing." Because this anime, is a whole lot of filler; but it does it well. The characters have enough about them to make the entire experience a great watch. But be warned, there are many tropes here that might deter some, as the characters follow that instinctive "harem" vibe. Other than that, they're all very well done and keep the flow nice.

Now I was really put off that this anime doesn't (usually) have any OP's or ED's, which is strange (besides few episodes here and there). I guess it's better to be put straight away into the action, but I do love a good OP. Aside from that the art and animation are decent for the age. Definitely nothing over the top, but it has it's moments.

So overall this anime isn't for everyone. It has the typical cliche characters that we've seen many times before in harem plots. But with the pretty good humor and good character relations, I can see myself watching the next season to see where this all leads. If you enjoyed anime like To LOVE-Ru, then I think you'll love this too.
