Review of Devilman: Crybaby

It's not as good as I imagined but not as bad as some people here make it look like /Spoiler free!/ First of all, english is not my first language so I'm sorry for any mistakes made below. I've seen two types of people who have watched Devilman: Those who loved it and consider it like a masterpiece or something, and those who completely despised every bit of it. I'm from the very few people who don't think neither, let me start from the good points. The plot it's actually pretty original, demons are among humans but humans don't know, that's what made me stay in the show, "howwill all of this end?" so, at least for me, I can't say it was boring. Secondly, characters are variated, some of them good, others not so much, and there's some that may result irritant, so the character development here is a bit unequal, special mention to Miko, who got an awesome character development, and made me love her character in the end. The music is also good, specially in the last two episodes where I would put a 9 or 10 but in the rest it was just ok, so the score for music stays 6.

Now let's comment on the "bad" things.
First of all and as some people have commented here, the animation, in some scenes looked reaaally bad, like, it wasn't just during dynamic scenes, it could be two characters just talking but they wouldn't have mouth or hands, that was pretty bad, but I'm not the kind of person who throws an entire anime to the trash just because the animation is bad.
Then we have the abuse of bouncing tits, unnecessary sex scenes and other looong and uncomfortable scenes, yeah, that was pretty disturbing and it's one of the things that made me lower the score.

Finally, we have the end, I'm not going to spoil too much, but I think it's the fact that it has a very unusual ending what made people angry, if you're hoping for a happy and mainstream ending, it's normal to be disappointed, but I value so much the originality, and I actually didn't dislike the ending, didn't loved either.
So, in resume, this anime may be good for you if you're into alternative things, gore, seinen etc. and like to do deep analysis from shows, looking for references and symbology.
If you're more into usual-looking style of animation, shonen endings and traditional fight scenes, then this will disappoint you.
