Review of Land of the Lustrous

I was somebody who didn't particularly watch so much anime, until a few years ago when I watched Land of the Lustrous. I've never seen anime and CGI blend in so well. Everything that moved was absolutely fluid, smooth, mesmerizing, glimmering (pun somewhat intended); the story, characters and setting was equally spectacular. Learning about Houseki no Kuni's lore was the first time I've seen some of the more creatively outlandish ideas of anime artists like really expansive timelines, the extinction of humans, Earth in the very far future, etc. It's a shame this anime might not likely get a season two any time soon. Overall though, thisseries is a shiny, hypnotizing, well-polished gem.
