Review of Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale

I'm a dissenting opinion apparently. A lot of people liked this movie but say they hated SAO. I liked SAO but the story aspects of this movie really got on my nerves. Visuals and sound were all great I actually really liked the new more game-like sounds and effects they used. Trying my hardest not to spoil anything. The main villain was really petty and hypocritical compared to any of the other villains in the series. His reasons all make me want to smack him and tell him he's an idiot who deserves everything that happened to him specifically. Kirito for some reason pulls a complete180 from saying in the show how he'll dedicate his life to developing the tech necessary to bring Yui to the real world but suddenly hates AR technology that lets Yui be with them in the real world from the start before anything happens that would make him hate it.

I usually don't like giving my opinion, especially a harsh one but these villains just got on my nerves and I felt like I was missing something with Kirito's immediate attitude against something he claimed to fully want. It makes sense later but right out the gate I don't understand what reason he had.
