This series is immensely enjoyable if you make it to the end. While it is average anime as a singular movie, each movie adds more and more depth to the Godzilla myth so it keeps you wondering and watching. The Godzilla movies from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s are source material for this new storyline. Given those awful plots, the makers of this anime should be praised for this new, cohesive, and comprehensive story. Overall this movie series is a masterpiece because the payoff is incredible! That makes it a must watch series for fans because it is a "holy" reference forall things Godzilla.
