Generally enough based on some of the head reviews I've seen people post The King's Avatar is that they don't really like it that the characters are bland and boring and that the plot gives no meaning, but what they all don't seem to get is that anime are meant for watching as something for relaxation, its not something you watch with to try and analyse and find every flaw, anyone that watches anime like that should seriously stop watching anime and rather go become a food critque or something, cause they are in the wrong line of industry. The series revolves around the character revolvesaround the character Ye Qiu that is at pinnacle of the game Glory that is a world wide sensation.

Its true that at the start the series starts a little slow, but quite frankly its the same for every anime, something that's extremely good about The King's Avatar unlike many other anime is that it doesn't have the seriousness 90% of other anime over exaggerate its very light hearted and fun to watch.

Many other reviewers claimed the story line was bland and boring, but the truth is if you look at the first season you can tell the first season is kind of like a intro to the whole series, which introduces you to many of the main characters, while giving viewers an idea of what Glory is like.

That is something most anime don't ever do, or what most anime do is they are either super fast pace or the story gets stretched out so long that viewers completely loses interest along the way.

The first season is therefore like the intro to what is to come.

Overall The King's Avatar has huge potential and it can become one of the most successful anime with the right viewer backing I believe.
