Review of Fire Force
I was always interested in getting round to watching this shit but I was aware that the reviews were a mixed bag and I see why. Behind the very cool concept and the fan-favourite soundboard for the audio effects that makes every fight scene sound like a mix between a marvel film trailer and a fire in the booth episode, you have a detailed and fairly interesting plot that's unfortunately structured by a pretty average cast of characters across the board - the good guys mostly being a bit boring to follow (besides Shinra because he has a cool backstory and fights like a crackhead,Arthur because he's the only character that actually makes me laugh and fights like a crackhead & Benimaru because he actually fights like a crackhead). Meanwhile the antagonists are mostly just straight up annoying. Just when I started getting used to the crown bitch (forgot name) I have to deal with the pink haired I don't fit in with society ass catch me if you can ass by the power of the monado ass bitch (forgot name) bro I skip every frame she's in expeditiously I can't stand her I simply cannot
The story's split into several arcs and although they can be a bit hit or miss the way that every bit of story progression unlocks a small part of the overall mystery behind what happened to Shinra's family and who this evangelist dude is without being afraid to incorporate twists in the story is what made me enjoy watching fire force, not to the point where I was on the edge of my seat, but I could appreciate it for sure. At the end of the day Shinra's just a dope character that you want to see succeed
Also the first episode hit me with a pang of emotion that almost made me shed a tear but I'm not letting fucking fire force of all animes get to me so chill with that
