Review of Dorohedoro

I came into this anime with no background knowledge other than the general understanding that there was going to be gore, and a lot of it. It somehow exceeded that expectation. But, getting that out of the way, this anime actually surprised me in a number of ways. When first watching it, i'll be honest it was kinda a shitshow. There was an overload of information that I frankly had no idea what to do with. A lot of things were left unexplained, but I continued watching because of the interesting world design and character aesthetics. Quickly, I found myself becoming more and more investedin learning the ins and outs of how the show's society functioned. Albeit, I still have loads of unanswered questions, and the cliffhanger ending certainly did not help. More than anything what blew me away was utter originality. I can not say I have seen anything close to similar to this before. Also, I really vibed with the intro song, so that did not hurt. Overall, 8/10. I can not wait to see what happens next.
