Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

Well lets not be angry just for the sake of being angry, this is an isekai so its natural people will hate it but lets rate it for the things it has done right which the other isekai do wrong. The story comes of really strong, maybe I'm still a 14 year old who doesn't know shit but betrayal hurts like hell, so yeah revenge was the proper instigator. However the world building is bad, it has the generic royalties, slave traders, monsters etc. This could have been done better. Isekai is one thing but if the protagonist just straight up forgets about the world hecomes from that's just weird. Explain it why he doesn't care about the world he came from. The other heroes are just side side characters and bo backstory given about them. And how naive are the people over there that Bitch was doing shit in broad daylight and still no one questioned her that's just bad writing.
Characters: - we maybe had a few grinding sessions in the earlier episodes but later everything came naturally to Naofumi. Using his Trump should have dire consequences otherwise what's the difference between good and evil (in the bad way made blur). There were a whole arsenal of functions he could use but we only saw 4-5 of his powers. Apart from him Rapthalia got a little backstory. Filo was meh. Malty was a good villain but there was no reason for her hate so that's shit.
Art was generic. Still not bad just mediocre. No eyegasms.
Music was so boring I forgot about it in the entire show. Sounds were kinda alright nothing too exceptional but i guess thats what a good sound should do, carry the story forward.
Well if you do like revenge plots its alright, it'll be pretty frustrating at times but the final result is good, i actually never imagined you could have revenge like that. Other than that don't accept much, there's a decent amount of power fantasy, and harem-ish plots but those won't really hinder the enjoyment.
I'll recommend it to someone who wants to know about the isekai genre, the ones that popularised the whole genre. Too people who want isekai go for it. I personally was interested in the revenge plot as Redo of a healer was such a disappointment on the revenge side of things.
