As a fan of the book, I absolutely LOVED this donghua. They didn't stray much from the novel and the makers did their best to make this as entertaining as possible! I love SQQ and the donghua just made me love him even more. Somewhere while watching, I felt like the quality of the animation deteriorated a little after episode 7, but keeping that aside, everything seemed close to perfect in my opinion. The ending of the season was abrupt, and the bonus scene towards the end had me frustrated, but as long as there's a season 2, fans will be fine... mostly... Luo Binghe iskinda pitiful..? And Shen QingQiu is just plain hilarious at times!

It's definitely worth a watch!

I can't wait for season 2!
