Review of Steins;Gate 0

Alright, big fan of the original who gave it a 10. I found this to be painfully long where there are many stretches of episodes where nothing seems to be accomplished. Specifically two characters are introduced with connection to Mayuri. They are useless. I don't care about them and I just find it annoying that they introduced seemly to fill the void of what seems empty. Don't let this dissuade you. This is still a very good series parallel to the original. I still give this one an 8. But to say this compares to the original would bea stretch. Strap in for the long haul because it feels like one. I think the whole story developing over a character attribute in Mayuri that was absent in the original is kind of a cheap cop out. Also, there are added love dynamics that seem shallow at least a little bit.

I just finished this and it is late at night and I have been putting off my college essay long enough. I will leave with one final note: it seems like it could be condensed a little bit. I think this would've led to fewer frustrating scenes and more focus on the story line.

Also, watch it, it won't be a mistake.
