Review of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S

I'm gonna say it. I'm not the biggest fan of Kobayashi maid dragon. Heck, I'd even say that I didn't like the first season. BUT. Hear me out. I'll say it just once... I kinda like this 2nd season. The story remains the same, with added backstory for the main characters, as well as additional scenes for different character interaction. It's mostly just an episodic anime since it's a slice of life. It's not bad, but there's nothing really note-worthy happened in this season. The characters though, they are pretty much just one-dimensional characters in the first season, but here... Well, some of them are still prettyone-dimensional, but most of them had their development and the audience really understood what their motives are and why they are the way they are. Also, just noting that I like the two newly introduced characters way more than the original cast which is saying something lol.

The animation is pretty much what you can expect from KyoAni. 10/10. Absolute perfection. Peak of 2D animation. Sasuga KyoAni.

The music is just pure banger. From the opening to the ending, as well as the ost. I haven't heard any music in this season that I didn't like tbh. Though some scenes here and there had some pretty lacking ost, hence why it's not a perfect score.

Overall, I really enjoyed this sequel. It's not as slice-of-life reliant as much as the first season because of the added backstory and an actual plot, so it made me pretty interested throughout my watch through.
