Review of Deca-Dence

Okay, Deca-Dence was fine, but I came here because of the anime's production relationship to Mob Psycho 100 as expressed by some ani-Tuber, either Mother's Basement or Gigguk. Within that context, I came for high octane sakuga action scenes as well as expressive characters, similar to that of Mob, which happens to be one of my favorite anime of all time. Instead, the sakuga that I thought I'd be feeding my eyes probably only came in the first episode, the last episode, and like, one other episode in between. Furthermore, w/o spoiling anything, the plot twist going from ep 1 to ep2, personally took away all the stakes for me.

***MINOR SPOILERS***

I find it very hard to take seriously the lives of AI. That's one of the first things that destroyed SAO for me when they introduced Yui, and it's 100% what deterred my enjoyment for me over the span of Deca-Dence.

ALSO, I'm watching Deca-Dence right after I finished rewatching the first 3 seasons of Attack on Titan, so the whole "Humanity's last stand" thing + some grander scale conflict, in my mind, was just done a million times better by what may go down to be one of the most prolific anime series of modern times. So take that context as you will.

I didn't like Deca-dence, but sometimes it was pretty to look at. 6/10.
