Review of Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man definitely stands out in visuals! The animation is seriously impressive; super fluid, stylish, and just plain cool to watch. MAPPA really did a great job with this! Story-wise, it didn’t fully click with me. It’s not bad at all, just not quite my thing. The humor wasn’t really my style either.. some of the jokes just didn’t land for me. And as for Denji... yeah, he’s not really my type of character. He’s got this wild energy that I get some people will love, but I just didn’t connect with him much There were also some scenes and elements I personally didn’t like..- just stuffthat didn’t sit well with me or felt a bit off. Some of the jokes or moments lean into the ambiguous or distasteful side, which might be a turn-off for some

That said, I do think the way the show handles demons and its world-building is really creative. There’s a lot of thought put into how fear and power work in this universe, and it gives the series a unique side

Honestly, in terms of animation and for most of the story it’s a strong 8/10
Even if it didn’t fully hit for me, I’d recommend Chainsaw Man to people who don’t mind ambiguous jokes or the occasional distasteful scene. If that doesn’t bother you, there’s a lot to enjoy here!
