An overall good anime with an interesting plot and setting, unfortunately, it fails to make full use of that setting and the last quarter is rather disappointing. However, it is disappointing in a way that doesn't ruin the rest of the show, so I think you should watch it as it the kind of weird anime which can easily become some people's favorite. Unfortunately due to the show structure, it's hard to say much more without ruining some of the plot twists, so it will be a rather succinct review. Plot and setting: Deca Deca-Dence has a really cool setting, and no it's really not an Attack onTitan reap off despite what the blurb or the first episode seems to indicate. However, its setting is also the anime biggest flaw, as it's really underused and even a bit incoherent at times. And like said before, the end is rather bad, it felt forced and rushed, I really think the anime would have benefited a lot if it had 22 episodes instead of 12.

Art:
Really good it does have some bad CG here and there (especially in the last few episodes) but nothing major and it overall looks really good. Moreover, the series has more than one art-style and makes good use of both.

Character:
A bit weak, most characters aren't really developed and a lot of them are only defined by one or 2 traits, but as the story only really focused on 2 of them that much development is enough, and no character comes off as incoherent or annoyingly simple.
With one exception, the girl main character, she is good most of the show but her development in the last few episodes (those again) is quite bad.
Also, the show regularly has character "transcending themselves", which is just another iteration of the usual "power of friendship"/"believed in yourself" bs. But aside from the last time (which obviously happened during the last few episodes), it's overall a well-used concept.

Sound:
It's good nothing really memorable except for one track, which is kind of the theme song of the series and is cleverly used.

Overall, I would recommend it, especially since you only need to watch the first 2 episodes to know if you will likely it, and as I said at the start even if the ending is disappointing it doesn't ruin the show.
