Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
*Sigh* I knew this day would come... I was hoping they wouldn't, yet they ended the season at 12 episodes! BUT THAT IS FINE, because the manga is still going and the chances of a second season are PRETTY HIGH... now, let's get onto the anime basics. Story; A loner Senpai goes to the library to study, where his worst enemies lie in waiting (AKA, the cute as popular girl group at their high-school). Being his awkward self, he accidentally drops all his papers (including his personal manga drawings) and are seen by the girls. Yet one girl, Nagatoro, sicks around to tease him. "Making yourselfa hero when you're not even close to it! You could never say this, Seeennn-Pai!!!", and then a slight S&M relationship is born! Art; From the OP, blushing, sweating, tears, smiles and ED... The animation was beautiful *cries while looking into the distance*. Sound; EASY LOVE, EASY LOVE, EASY LOVE, NIGHT DATE, EASY LOVE, EASY LOVE, MOTTO ATSUKU (I loved every second of the OST). Characters; There is no doubt that the Nagatoro and Senpai relationship is PERFECT, but so are the friends. Right after watching the first episode I started reading the manga... I was surprised by how much they included the friend group (Gamou, Yoshi and Sakura) in the anime. Although I adore the manga, I love how thy included the friends a lot more into the anime (for example, the episode/chapter where Senpai has the dream of him being a hero and Nagatoro is his cat sidekick).
Overall, I FREAKEN LOVED this anime. I was a bit iffy at first from the first episode, but then I realized I loved the Senpai-Nagatoro relationship (it gave me butterflies, made me nervous at times and got me excited for what was going to come next). I would suggest this anime to anyone... but if/when I do, it'll tell them to be open minded about the first episode because the teasing just get BETTER and BETTER over time *squeals*
